Connect Card Reader

Start taking payments by connecting your card reader

After signing into your Checkout app, follow the steps below to connect your card reader.

1. Power on your card reader by pressing the power button on the side of the device.

2. Wait a few seconds until the light blinks blue, meaning it is ready to pair.

3. From the app menu, select Card Reader, or tap the Bluetooth icon in the top nav.

4. Tap the Scan for Devices button to begin scanning for available card readers.

5. Wait until your card reader appears in the list. The numbers listed correspond to the last 4 digits of the device's serial number listed on the back of the card reader.

6. Tap your device to begin pairing. It should take a moment.

7. When the light turns to a steady blue, the device is connected.

8. Tap the back arrow to return to your cart.

Note: The card reader will go to sleep after 10 - 15 minutes of inactivity unless plugged into an external battery or outlet. To reactivate your card reader, simply power on your device and if necessary, reconnect to your app by following the steps above.
